In its final form, the M1911 was a locked-breech, single-action semi-automatic pistol. Gun Review: Colt 1911 Government Series 80. True, variations other than the standard 1911 have different weights The original question was How much does a standard 5" 1911 weigh? You can get a 1911 lighter than the posted std weight. Take a 45 use the poly msh, poly short trigger koieng low mass hammer and spring, a1 frame, and Ti parts (just not the firing pin Steel is the only material they should be). If you look at 1911 models with ambi safites light rails, full length guide rods. easier to dissassemble hi-cap capacityīut it might be different for you (i have med hands, med frame) for me, take a HK or 1911 OWB anyday of the week ergonamically and grip wise, its pretty good and the controls are situated like a 1911, but "feel" different (i think that its b/c its plastic vs metal) the rear tang/high bore axis is noticible to me the trigger sucks in DA mode (they say the match trigger is a lot better, but i have not tried one yet) compared to a SA 1911 trigger I only have one HK-HK USPf45-its also been 100% reliable h/w, its not a comfortable gun to CCW (i could CCW a 1911Full pretty ok b/c of its slim line) but its bulk and width make it harder to properly CCW i prefer my Kimber TLE II over my SA loaded safety-i prefer the smoother feeling metal safety lever on the 1911 over the plastic one on the HKs 3 of the 6 1911s i have had 100% reliable 1911s, so i'm comfortable w/ them LOTS of accessories, parts, and work available it fits my hand the best- most natural grip and best ergonamics for me weight: its noticible, expecially when carrying, but the lightweights are pretty comfortable
TRIGGER-i have not shot another HG w/ a better mechanical trigger i prefer SA triggers Overall i like the 1911s better (i use to carry nothing but 1911s, but now i carry glocks ) This Cybergun Colt 1911 A1 airsoft replica has blowback, an adjustable hop. HK USP 45? I mean weight is a factor for occasional carry, accuracy is a factor, reliability and ergonomics are also a big factor. The pistol has a realistic look and weight due to the fully metal slide and body. I was thinking for a combination of everything, the better all around gun, 1911Loaded vs. Prefer for what exactly? weight wise? shooting? carrying? SA mil-spec vs Loaded? etc?
